Pink Pistols Summer 2002 Competitive Shoot

Here are the basic rules:

This is a pistol shoot only. No rifles! But you can use any handgun you wish. No restrictions.

Use a standard NRA 25 foot slow fire target. Shoot 3 groups of 5 shots (1 group per target, 3 targets total) at 25 feet.

If your range only allows shooting at a set distance, use an approperiate NRA slow fire target for that distance.  IE: A 50 foot target, if you are shooting a distance of 50 feet.

All shots must be done with all reasonable speed.  You may use any stance and fire either single or double action.  The one thing you are not allowed to do is use additional auxilliary support.

Score youself based on the target's markings.

Find the furthest distance between your shots.  (Yes, this will be scored two different ways.)

When reporting your scores, please remember to include such information as where, when, gun type, ammo type, witnesses, and anything else you think might be of interest.

By July 21st 2002(Sunday):  Pass the scores to your chapter's coordinator, and/or post them on the database associated with the Pink Pistols mailing list at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/pinkpistols/database?method=reportRows&tbl=2

Chapter coordinators are responsible to get individual and team scores to scores@pinkpistols.org by Sunday July 30th.

Within the following week I'll put it all together and post the results.

Shoots do _not_ have to be at a Pink Pistols event. (In other words, if you can't make a shoot, you can still compete by going out on your own, and then passing the information along.)

Remember, you can do the do this shoot as many times as you wish, and submit the set of 3 targets with the best score.  Or if you get a better score after you submit, it can be replaced with your higher score.  But all scores _must_ be in by July 21st to either your team coordinator, or the database associated with the Pink Pistols mailing list.

I'll volunteer to coordinate things for the Boston Chapter.

And needless to say, this is all on the honor system. We trust you won't cheat. 8^)
